| What is your last resort? |

Not long ago the question “What is your last resort?” came up after a visit to a Philippine resort following earlier visits to resorts in other countries. (Video from youtube.com; posted by johnwbertrand 09.21.09) The most obvious response would have been just to mention the name of the specific resort visited given the many beautiful Philippine resorts there are. Top Philippine resorts include those in Boracay, Tagaytay, Batangas, and Palawan among others. However, I could not help but think of a deeper meaning to the words “last resort” at this time. For example, not waiting for the last resort or engaging in the habit of procrastinating comes to mind. Always giving our best each time we are faced with issues ideally is the way to go. And of course last resort may also remind one of the last frontier of opportunity. And as so eloquently phrased by the Eagles band in their song Last Resort: “there is no more new frontier…we have got to make it here…to satisfy our endless needs…in the name of destiny…” Perhaps when it is your turn to be asked “What is your last resort”, you will be ready. Whether it will be a visit to a Philippine resort or making that last resort kind of move to improve your situation, definitely good outcomes can be anticipated.
