The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics has turned out to be a speedskater's dream for Fil-Am JR Celski as he captured his second Olympic medal. In the short track men's 5000 m relay finals, JR Celski shared the bronze medal with his fellow US teammates Apolo Anton Ohno, Travis Jayner, and Jordan Malone. The gold was won by the Canadian team of Charles Hamelin, Francois Hamelin, Olivier Jean, and Francois-Louis Tremblay. Edging out the US team for the silver medal was the South Korean quartet of Yoon-Gy Kwak, Ho-Suk Lee, Jung-Su Lee, and Si-Bak Sung. Notably, in the same race, Apolo Anton Ohno broke his own record by winning the eighth Olympic medal in his career. With the individual bronze medal in the short track men's 1500 m race (see related story) and the team bronze in the short track men's 5000 m relay as feathers to his cap, JR Celski is emerging as one of the rising stars of US speedskating. The achievements of Fil-Am Olympian JR Celski are all the more remarkable as he made a comeback to the skating scene after a serious skating-related injury in the months before the Winter Games.
