The Philippines has emerged as one of the texting capitals of the world. And of course, in texting, text language (or SMS language, textspeak, or textese) is used. Indeed, in almost every corner and in practically every walk of life, the ubiquitous cell phone has become one of life's basic accessories. And then there is the requisite SIM card or cell phone load for mobile phones so that one can text friends and family. But the most precious value of text language is being the mechanism for affordable yet timely communication link and connection among Pinoys both inside the Philippines and abroad.
