While there have been positive news of an upcoming economic recovery, the job picture remains not so rosy. In the US, the number of unemployed or out of job (walang trabaho) Americans, including Fil-Ams, has reached record highs in this Great Recession. (Video from youtube.com; posted by findajobalready 07.26.10) Of course, when one is retrenched, downsized, laid-off, fired, or negatively impacted in terms of earning capacity, one has to do a diligent jobs search. As part of the key tips to a better jobs search, don't forget to update that CV or resume (which of course reflects your unique skills), revisit professional colleagues, reinforce networking bonds, and prepare for that flawless job interview.Being out of work is not fun. Or being underemployed either. And it has affected almost everybody, including our families, cousins, and friends. In these situations, things are scary and uncertain. But strong faith and cutting down on expenses will enable us to overcome the challenge. Things happen for a reason. The silver lining can be bigger and better than the rain clouds. Perhaps losing a job can mean a time to discover our strengths
