Filipino graduation always a key milestone

In a nation that places a premium value on education, graduation time will always be a key milestone in the educational and professional life of Pinoy students and graduates.

Although current economic developments present real economic hurdles, there is always hope for better times. With the resiliency of the bamboo, the hardiness of the narra tree, and the optimism of the shining Pacific sun as it basks on the Pearl of the Orient, the Pinoy graduates bravely face a new world of opportunities and challenges.

Here are some thoughts for the Pinoy graduates:

- Resourcefulness and sharpening of skills remain not just buzzwords but compelling tools.
- The school may be a factor but at the end of the day, it is the student or the graduate who makes the moves.
- Graduation is just "day 1" of more than a thousand and one days.
- Discovering your strengths to unleash the power within may provide strategic advantage.

Celebrate the day with and be congratulated by family and friends, either in person or vicariously (eg, via ecards, online phone calls, texts, email, etc.) and be showered with graduation gifts (eg, fine pens, flowers, etc.).  And then find time to figure out what you want and pursue your goals and dreams with all of your heart and mind.
