When it comes to internet TV, the Philippines is not far behind from the established global leaders of electronics technology. A group of young Pinoy innovative inventors (innoventors) led by Brian Quebengco are in the midst of finalizing the details on the development of a full-scale commercial model for an internet-capable, interactive TV. Quebengco's group calls their "proof of concept" or prototypical model the Ilumina LCD interactive television (iTV).

With the convergence of the modern technology that the web or internet represents and of the widely popular, established digital medium that is TV expected to reach actual fruition sooner than later, the Ilumina interactive TV (iTV) can be said to be strategically well-placed. The story of these young Pinoy entrepreneurs and industrial designers who want to be "players instead of spectators" in the exciting world of internet TV will definitely illuminate the way for other aspiring youth who want to contribute to a better world.
