| Holiday Vacation in the Philippines for World's Longest Christmas Season |
|
Whether one lives in the Northern Hemisphere or in the Southern Hemisphere, the merry months of September, October, November, and December are often the time for holiday vacations. Filipinos have long known about it, but surprisingly, it has been acknowledged even on the internet that the Philippines holds the distinction of having the world's longest Christmas season. Whether one is in the Philippines or in a foreign land (for example, as an overseas Filipino worker or OFW in places like Dubai, HongKong, Saudi Arabia, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, or wherever in the world), one can concur that Christmas ("Pasko") in the Philippines is marked by a different ("Iba talaga ang Pasko sa 'Pinas") kind of atmosphere and ambience. This is especially more true or felt in the case of those who have had that lucky chance to experience the joys, music, and tidings of the season in the Philippines. So, check your calendars and see if you can find the time to spend your holiday vacation for the world's longest Christmas in the Philippines! |
